The first constituency meeting of the Northern Luzon Philippine Union Mission (NLPUM) convened today, marking a historic milestone for the newly established administrative unit. Held in Pasay City at the Manila Adventist College (MAC), the meeting gathered delegates from across the union to elect department directors who will guide the union mission’s ministries during this transitional period.
Recognizing the significance of the elections, attendees emphasized the importance of unity, prayer, and collaboration as the union embarks on this new chapter. Since this election takes place between the regular quinquennial sessions of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the newly elected directors will serve a one-year term until the next session.
The following leaders were elected to serve as department directors:
• Marvin Diaz, VP NDR/IEL/Ministerial Association
• Josie Calera, Children’s Ministries
• Ardie Diaz, Women’s/Family Ministries
• Mary Jane Zabat, Education
• Abraham del Rosario, Publishing/Spirit of Prophecy Coordinator
• Lanie Malabad, Health Ministries/Ministerial Spouses Association
• Marlon Ramirez, Youth/Stewardship Ministries
• Sherman Fiedacan - Communication
• Jules Bermudez, Sabbath School and Personal Ministries
The elected leaders expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them and their commitment to promoting spiritual growth, encouraging evangelism, and supporting the local churches and institutions under NLPUM’s jurisdiction.
NLPUM president, Pastor Daniel Malabad, encouraged the newly elected leaders to work closely with the local mission presidents and other institutions to advance the mission of the church.
As the NLPUM continues its establishment phase, the focus remains on nurturing vibrant faith communities and sharing the Adventist message throughout the region. This marks a significant development in the church’s efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and mission effectiveness in Northern Luzon territories under its care.
